I've been drumming for almost half my life. I have both an acoustic and an electric drumset now, which really expands the horizons. I was in a marching drumline for four years as well, which really helped with technique. All the shock/vibration is taking it's toll on my wrists though -- I have to wear a brace full-time on my left wrist, which I hate. So, I've been composing music on my computer more-and-more over the past 5 years or so. Other than that, I used to be a lighting/sound technician for local theater performances, and I used to be heavily into weightlifting -- but I don't do much of either anymore. I love reading when I get the chance. Hey, are you still reading this? Or did you fall asleep already?  |

actually drumming is something i have always wanted to learn...
just never had anyone to teach me so i learned the guitar from my father...

My main interests are things that go fast. Doesn't really seem to matter what it is. I'm mesmerized by things like the SR-71 Blackbird. Any machine that was cutting edge for it's day is usually interesting to me.
I'm also into dogs, a little into guns, sub guns and assault rifles mostly (have a small collection), and I'm a technician class amateur radio operator.

my bother inlaw was a mechanic on the haboo(what the SR was called in okinowa)
he got me into the hanger ALMOST close enough to touch it...
man i was like a dam school kid i was so excited i could barely stand it...
back then it was a special thing to see it in person... now all you have to do is go to the air and scape musiem in dulles VA about 20 mins down the road from me...

A really great day is driving into dullas, checking out the air and space museum, gonig to the used ferrai dealer and talking them into letting you test drive one ;D

I'd also like to see the space shuttle launch some day before they quit flying it. I'm sure whatever replaces it won't be as dramatic to watch.

yeah i go to the rec here at tech, i know there are women there, but you cant hit on them. it just aint right, they like you are there to get fit. Can't hit on them?  Yeah, I'm first and formost there to workout, but I never have a problem with the women there NOT wanting attention. I probably get hit on just as much as I hit on them  i dont have a problem with getting hit on but i dont like hitting on women there |

i think it depends....
if you can tell she is working hera$$off, and consintraiting on her workout, then leave her the hell alone...(hell i have been pissed at one or 2 chicks who bugged me in the middle of an intence workout)
but if she is just there kinda checkin things out, and looks at you more then once , then i would say its ok to chat her up if you want...
