Who all does some corner carving? I've tried autox before and found it to be very enjoyable. My dad has been a road racer his whole life and is looking to do some in our new combination.

About a month ago I went to texas world speed way with a friend who is apart of another forum for the se-r nissan sentra. Anyhow, I was fortunate enough to get a ride along on the 3 mi road coarse with an scca champ, and had alot of fun. I have always been more interested in getting out of a corner compaired to going streight. In the future, after I get all the nickel and dime promblems handeled on my recientley purchased t/a, I am going to turn my attention to the chasses and suspension. Hope to have it on the track soon!

New guy here!!
Road racing is probably my favorite. I usually run with NASA Texas at Motorsports Ranch in Cresson, Tx. It's a lot of fun, but much more expensive than a night at the drags.
Mods to my 97 T/A:
Koni D/A shocks all around, Global West ride height adjustable spring perches. Global West springs, 1 1/2 inch drop.
Global West lca's in the rear, GW uppers in front, and all arms with spherical bearings or Del-A-Lum(no rubber bushings)
Stock 32mm sway bar up front, 21mm 1LE bar in rear, all with poly bushings and end links.
Kenny Brown SFC's and adjustable panhard bar
Hotchkis strut tower brace
Baer 13" brakes all around (converting to C5 Vette fronts later this year)

I discoverd AX in late 98 and campaigned my '98 TA to a 4th place finish in points in '99.
Then, a gent built a road course 15 minutes from my house. I was lapping the '98 at Motorsports Ranch before the final layer of asphalt was laid.
The 98 has seen 10s of thousainds of miles of track duty and was retired in November of last year.
I built a CMC prepped '96 Trans AM and will be competing in the Texas region of the Camaro-Mustang Challenge series.
Bobby, it's good to see you post up. I look forward to seeing you once again in May.
Josh, one of the guys who has been a HUGE help in getting my car together is Steve Mulder, owner/operator of Natwell Welding in San Antonio.
He regularly attends OT/HPDEs in his C5 at TWS and MSR. If you have any welding needs, give him a try.

Hi Mitch! I wish I was going in May too. I've gotten way behind and whipped from working too much. My car has been sitting on jackstands since mid-February. I've got to change the oil pan, pump, and get a set of headers on before I hit the track. If I have time there is an LTCC conversion and a couple of other pieces to install. I WILL be back though! There's a chance I can make it in May, but it looks doubtful.

Has anyone done any open road racing? I've been thinking about trying this next year.
