Ok guys, its official, IM AN IDIOT. I cant figure out how to post pics in a thread on here to save my life. Can someone help, please. Can I use pictures that are on my computer? All the pictures I have were sent to me via MSN instant messaging, so all the pics are in "My Recieved Files". Im trying to get the pics from that file and into a post. Is this even possible? I would think it would be, but I dont get computers.....HELP?!?!?!?

You can post one directly from your PC to the board but it will not let you post a pic much bigger than a photo off your cellphone.

Lt1sierra -- No, you can't just use photos off of your computer. The internet is not directly connected to your computer's hard drive -- the photo must be 'uploaded' to the internet. I'd recommend that you get a free account at an image hosting website, such as pix8.net OR www.webshots.com OR www.photobucket.com. You can upload photos there, to be used at the forums. Of course, if you have a web service like AOL or the like, they usually give free webspace to their customers.

I can't figure out how to post pics here either. Every other message board I ever been on allows you to upload from your computer... but not here. I asked to make it easier in the "SITE SUGGESTIONS" and got pretty much the same responses as you. Guess they have no desire for change.

Not all websites have the bandwidth and space to upload photos like that. I believe it WAS tried here at this forum for a short while, but it only worked half the time. So, it was disabled. Regardless, it's EASY to post pictures using the 'regular' method. It's just not quite the 'lazy' process you're used to. Few more steps, takes an extra minute.

Apparently our bandwidth won't allow it Sorry for that. I believe I have offered to host your pics (you've sent me nothing ). Once you get a host it's just a matter of copy and paste at that point.

Ok, thats one of my buddies cars that I met here in Stillwater. Its a V6, but it had a turbo on it. He blew it up and is doing an LS1-T56 swap right now. I havent gotten to see it in person yet, cause its been in the shop ever since I have known him. No one has pics of my car, so I dont have any right now, but I will. Now how do you re-size the pics. Sorry that I have to ask such dumb questions. Putting the pics on is really easy now, but theyre just a little big, haha. Sorry for being complicated.

You can use any adobe photo shop program. I like to to use an image enhance program that is small and simple to use. I could send it to you via email if interested. Its really small so you want have any problems downloading it.

I have tried everyones suggestions on copy and paste, I have pics hosted on www.CarDomain.com and they don't work either. I am not going to pay or download adware or spyware or get a million pop-up ads just to host my pics so I can post them here... the only message board I ever saw that is is made up this way. I have just given up on putting up pictures here. IT IS A PAIN IN THE BUTT... NOT SIMPLE OR EASY!

I have just given up on putting up pictures here. IT IS A PAIN IN THE BUTT... NOT SIMPLE OR EASY! Sorry you are having so much trouble, I had trouble at first, also. I use pix8.net and it turned out that the URL they tell you to use as a path to the pictures is not correct. The board admin 68SuperchargedLT1Camaro was able to help me out. We had to modify it by deleting some of the letters and characters to get it to work. Why don't you PM him and see if he can help you. I understand your frustration, but I was able to get a new guy posting pictures with just one post. Here is a link to the thread. Maybe it will help. Good luck. 68lt1camaro.proboards44.com/index.cgi?board=rides&action=display&thread=1128622062

Trying again. I think I got it now. STILL IT'S A LOT TO TYPE! Sheesh! Congrats! I knew if you kept at it you would figure it out. Instead of typing it all out, you can find the URL, whether in the address bar of your browser, or wherever the host site puts it, highlight it, right-click, and copy it, then paste it into your post, highlight it again in the post, and click the Insert Image button above in the Add Tags: section (this will add the [image][/image] stuff at the beginning and end of your pasted info), or you can do it the way Aaron described above and click the Insert Image button first, then paste the URL between the [image][/image]. Not as easy as simply pasting a picture, but this free board just will not allow for the kind of space it takes to store pics and vids. I hope you like us better now.

I never said I didn't like it here... just that it was a pain in the A to post pics. I think he was just referring to the fact that you hadn't posted here in a while.Glad to see you back
