;D I was watchin some Auto Show thing on ESPN and they said that the SVT Unit was shut down. Guess they found our that GM Performace Divison is and will always be BETTER!

lol, they never could figure out how to polish those turds enough to sell the volume required to make money ;D
Although this is pretty cool news to us GM guys, its sad to hear that another AMERICAN company is having financial troubles. Especially one of the giants. Although I hate to say it, we all should support F*rd and Chrysler, because although they make turds, they pump huge amounts of coin into our economy, and after all they are american. Well mostly american anyway.
It'll be a sad day if/when any of our AMERICAN company's has to close all together because we are only patriotic enough to buy a ribbon magnet to put on the trunk of our foreign cars. Wanna show patriotism? Peel that yellow ribbon off the trunk of your Toyota and buy an AMERICAN car to stick it to!

UMMM... hate to bust everyone's bubble. BuT SVT is alive and well. The new Ford Mustang GT500 shelby is an SVT made car. I work at a Ford delaer as a technician. I bought my Firebird Formual there as a used car.
So far as GM being better than Ford? Right now I disagree. Ford's mustang is selling very well. GM's F-body is selling... OH WAIT...IT'S DEAD!

I havent heard it anywhere but here. Whether GM or Ford makes a better car is purely in the eye of the beholder.
The F-body may not be being produced, but it is far from dead. In fact, GM will be jumping back into the pony car market within a few years, and will come with a car that Ford cannot touch, just like they always have. History has a funny habit of repeating itself.
If SVT were to shut down, I too would doubt it was due to finances. I would think it was because the general ford buying public got sick of paying all that money for something barely faster than a regular GT.
