So, I might be building this LT1 without a distributor at all. With BigStuff3 I can run LS1 COP ignition setup, assuming I provide the ECM with the proper input from the motor.
I need some specs on LS1 camshaft position sensors. For specs; I need a diagram with dimensions, and info as to how it reads the cam position. i.e. Whats on an LS1 cam that allows the positon sensor to read it?
The owner of BigStuff said I didnt need to run an actual LS1 sensor, but that it may be the easiest route. He said all I need is a crank trigger (like MSD's flying magnet) and a "hall effect device that has a falling edge at TDC on the comp stroke for the #1 cylinder" for the ECU to read the neccessary cam position info.
