im haveing my heads ported and polished by a local head porter he's pretty good and really reasonable on price he went to mondello head porting school this is now the 4th set of heads hes doing for me and has always done quality work he flowed my heads before any work and they were 203 on a sf-120 bench on the intake at .500 lift he is suggesting using LT4 intake gaskets and raising the roofs on the runners has anybody heard of this being done before i tell him to do it he has a sonic checker so he doesnt go into a water jacket and has a cross section exploded view of the runners any suggestions?? also will be matching the intake to LT4 gaskets have this posted on LT1 tech also any help will be appreciated

Are you running an LT4 intake on your LT1 heads? If so yes it has been done several times. The roof of the intake runner on the LT1 heads has to be machined to match the raised roof of the LT4 intake.
