Looking at their website again, it specifies 76 CC combustion chambers. It does not say anything about ordering smaller size combustion chambers on these heads. www.airflowresearch.com/

I beleive AFR has a few chamber sizes that you get to select from. When a friend of mine ordered his heads from the AFR dealer here in town (AFR 195's for 1st gen small block), I'm positive he got to pick the chamber size. If I remember correctly, you get to select the chamber size on all of their heads. Raymond

Crap! I did not specify with Drew, the guy I ordered from, what size combustion chamber I wanted. If I get the 76 CC heads, can they be milled down to a sutable size. I hope this does not put me in a pickle METALBEAST, are the pistons dished? How many CC's? With that much displacement (396 CI), you need a bigger chamber to get the static compression in line. It's going to depend on the pistons you have. How many CC's are the dishes? Raymond

I have been using this formula I developed a few months back to calculate the compression ratio using various pistons offered with several kits. 68lt1camaro.proboards44.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=na&thread=1125414393&page=1I could never get the CR I desired using the 76 CC combustion chamber. I just talked with Drew at Madracing, whom I ordered the heads from, and he said he thought that I had specified 64 CC heads when he told me to order it. I think I remember doing that to. Its been a while since I ordered them though. He said he was going to call his AFR rep to make sure everything was as I wanted it so I think I am OK ;D
