Docspeed and I were talking today about seriously getting some sport bikes. Even when gas comes down a bunch, it will really help me out ;D

I stopped at my local street bike dealer and test drove an R1. holy cow  !!! Ive been in low 10 second cars before, but it no comparison to hanging on the handle bars of a street bike. I wanted to wright him a check right there on the spot!!! But my girlfriends dad died on a street bike when she was younger and she started crying when i told her i was going to get one... God this sux! What should i do...? Help me!!  im going to pull all my hairout!!! |

If you get the bike and she stays, she will be terrified every time you go out on it. In that case, you better have a really good nag filter. Plus she will feel like the bike means more to you than her feelings. There is no defense for this one.  |

Its horrible to hear that happened to her, but what if something had happened to someone she knew in a Camaro? Just my $0.02 |

That was a really good way to put things in to perspective metalbeast... When i show up with it and she starts b*tchin, ill start with the whole... so if your mom gets t-boned in her trans am and dies, id have to sell my cars... or would it be grandfathered in...? I use to fell the same way 1bad2k2ta fells... but i really care for her and ifs going to effect her that bad-- she worships me, and im a nice guy, it would be hard for me to just buy it and see if she leaves or not... ya know... Thanks again for the feedback on that guys... |

I boght a bike!! I picked up a ninja 636, Its pretty bad ass!! Its got ram air like my TA's. Im still in the brake in period (that means no wheelies). My GF is getting over the shock... she almost fainted when i showed up with it... the look on the face was priceless!! where still together... Thanks again for helping me make the right disistion!! |

Hopefully one day I will get myself another bike. I am thinking instead of a sport bike, I may try to build a old cheap junker and make a chopper or something out of it.
