I would do the same but it is 30 miles one way to work. I may try to get a motorcycle this spring if gas is still too high.

Its a knee jerk reaction guys. This crap has happened off and on since the 1970s. Once the situation in the Gulf stabilizes, prices should begin to significantly drop. We are NOT anywhere close to running out of oil in the world. Its a lack of refineries due to tree huggers that is causing the bottleneck in supply. www.eia.doe.gov/pub/oil_gas/petroleum/feature_articles/2004/worldoilsupply/oilsupply04.html2037-2047 before we reach our PEAK! I'll be in my 60s then and will be more concerned about making it to the bathroom with out $hitting on myself than the price of gas !

Its environmentalist that are causing the problems with the refineries. There has not been a new refinery built in the US since the early 1970s. The oil is there its just the refineries can't match demand like you said.

For years, San Antonio consitently had some of the cheapest gas prices in the nation! 92 is $3.20 a gallon today. No more daily driving the '68. $HIT!!! Raymond

my camaro has been sitting on empty for a week now, don't have the $40 to fill it up,owners manual states it takes 93 octane ,oh well the tags are expired so i'm waiting after the first to test a new license plate law and see if i can get away with one license plate like the law states,so no use having a car with a full tank of gas if you cant drive it

I will have a motorcycle hopefully before this happens.

Guys, don't panic! We just had the worst hurricane ever to hit the United States! Right now refineries in the Gulf are SHUTDOWN. The two lines that supply gas to the southeast were down yesterday, but are up today but only at 35%. Its gonna take some time to get things straightened out but it WILL happen. Don't cry Armageddon yet. Things like this happen.

Just heard Sunny Perdue is cutting one of the gas taxes. Should drop 15-20 cents depending on area by midnight tonight.
I just had to fill up on 93 octane a hour ago due to all the regular unleaded and midgrade being sold out.

I checked the stock market this morning and oil prices and gas futures are already dropping. I talked to a guy yesterday that said they expect the lines coming in from the gulf to be at 100% by next week. Gas has already dropped $0.10 from yesterday around here and the gas stations that were empty are open again. I asked the lady running the store in Murrayville (where you get that Bud Ice at Tommy ;D) if they were having problems getting fuel. She said no, but they ran out Wednesday because everyone was in a panic and trying to fill their cars up.
