When I changed the valve cover gaskets earlier this week, I noticed that the oil return passages in the heads were bored out to some degree. Maybe the rest of the head has had a little port work done to it.
The engine has 76' model heads on it and if any of you have driven an engine from the mid to late 70's, then you know it is nothing spectacular. My truck seems to have a little more power than it should so hopefully I am right about the heads being ported some.
