The wife & I took the Z06 on a 600mile round trip last weekend to visit her mother. Got 27.5 mpg running about 75mph. Is'nt moderm technology great! 405hp & 28mpg. 40 years ago it was 400hp & 10mpg.
Weird feeling cruising at 75 knowing you still have almost 100mph left in her.

Modern tech is great. Now you can have your power and not have to pay at the pump more. Man it would really be sweet if gas was still hovering around $1.00 a gallon.

i agree to both posts. my caprice can get over 25 mpg loaded with all my crap. and that is usually over 80 mph

yeah OKC is cheap. i went through on my way from Houston to South dakota, and make a u turn for 1.86 gas. this was last summer when 1.95 or better was the norm.
here in lubbock i have seen 2.15 and think there might be 2.10 some where here in town.

OKC is cheap... Tulsa usually isnt too bad either. Its probably right at $2.00 a gallon. It seems like its at the most a dime cheaper than back home or in Stillwater.

I remember not very long ago getting pissed off because premium was 1.55 a gal.

You are right . We need to continue to develope our own sources of oil. That way we can tell the arabs that we will give them $10 a barrel for their oil & if they don't like it then they can go back to hearding goats for a living.

unfortunatly we need the EPA to ease up on the refineries. we dont have an oil shortage we have a refining shortage.
