They could have saved a lot of time/money with an El Camino.

well if you look at the year it is an '84 which were some of the worst vettes ever when it came to quality, they broke very easily. usually little things here and there but still they broke.
i think anyone that actually has the knowledge and skill to do that should do that.
it is cool

i think anyone that actually has the knowledge and skill to do that should do that. it is cool I'll give you that whoever did it was skilled and did a great job on it. I still think it's horrendous though. Alex is right, if the guy wanted something like that he should have just got an El Camino and restored it. Now that would've been cool.

Did anyone see the episode of Monster Garage where they took a early 70's big block vette (which was in easily restoreable condition ) & made a mud bogger out of it? I was pissed off beyond belief.
The title to the show should have been " How to take a desireable & valuable classic & turn it into a worthless POS."

unfortunatly nothing is sacred to Jesse "the punk" James, which isnt even his real name, cant remember what it is. but the other unfortunate is that 3rd gen corvettes are some of the lowest priced vettes, barring a rarity like L88 bigblock, or LS6 454.

but the other unfortunate is that 3rd gen corvettes are some of the lowest priced vettes, barring a rarity like L88 bigblock, or LS6 454. True, most of the C3s do go for lower prices. But the chrome bumper C3s seem to be more desirable than the other C3s. A chrome bumpered C3 big block in good shape is worth some pretty good bucks.

A chrome bumpered C3 big block in good shape is worth some pretty good bucks. if they're in bad shap they really arent worth restoring. one of my dads good friends is a corvette restoring guru and tells people that come to him with C3s that they wont get there money back from it. which is to say if you do it your self you may make a small profit but not if you factor in your time=money. this said i would pay to restore a 3rd gen because i love 'em. ok so i would restore it myself.

On I10 in Florida, just before Tallahassee going west, there is a Cadillac truck sitting there. I think it looks great. So I think this Corvett truck looks great too. I would drive it! ;D
