Welcome, have any pics? Any mods besides the engine swap? I'll try to get some pics up. Only mods right now are the K&N and lid that came with the motor, some long tube headers and 4:10 gears.

Go ahead and start a new thread in the rearend section. You'll get alot more replies to your rearend questions there. Thanks RadCat. By the way, that's a good lookin' car.

welcome aboard, very nice formula. you can tell a formula from the front bumper and fog lights. with Trans Ams the fog lights are more to the center of the nose. ("I have a 2000 firebird with a 02 ls1 in it. ") if this is what is in the car, then you have a V-8 not a 6. as for the 12 bolt rear end, you want to go with the strange and it is actually a 8.875 ring gear. and it bolts up easier because the housing fits better. and is a direct bolt in as where others arent, as they may need some modifications.

About me saying it still has a v6 that was a joke since it still have v6 body panels and still says firebird on the side. That's why I had the "wink" smile. I should be getting a moser 12bolt installed sometime next week. Should be fun to see what improvements I see at the track. Just a few days ago I put on some 315 nittos so traction shouldn't be too much of an issue. I still don't think they are wide enough. These cars just look so good with wide tires
