the car has slp headers, a catback, a tune, and a cia and nittos. its gone 8.60s@83-84 in the 1/8th like this with some 2.1 60' times. im looking for some high 1.7-low 1.8 60s with the 4.10s, new clutch, et streets and bmr suspension. hopefully thatll put me in the 8.20s. the car goes through the traps right after shifting to 3rd in the 1/8th now. the gear and traction should help it, hopefully.

Hee hee, better start saving for a 12 bolt or 9". Stocker won't live long even at stock hp with sticky tires. Not unless you plan to baby it out off the hole. Doesn't sound like that is the plan, though. ;D

ive had several friends with the same rearend/tire setup run high 11s with over 400rwhp in m6 cars. im down 125rwhp from them. its all how you drive the car. you leave the stock axles as the fuse so if something happens it doesnt kill the gears. but weve never even had a problem with the stock axles. we setup the 4.10s loose so they live. its a proven combination, and least with the right person putting together the rearend and the right driving style.

weve never had the lt1 heads/cam swap bearing issues either. ive seen people who had the problems in person, but those guys have been less then mechanically inclined.

My stock rear has been taking a beating for a while. Its even lasted through several 4500+rpm launches on ET streets with the old motor making 450 to the wheels. Ive got 3.73's in there now, and they were just starting to make noise when the motor died. I'll run that stock rear with the new motor too, untill it gets destroyed anyway. Once it does, I'll be going the 9" route.
