As most of you know, I am stroking my LT1 in my Camaro out to a 396. As such, I am looking for some good 4 bolt splayed mains. I could not find any in my Summit catalog. Stroker guys, where did you purchase yours? What was the price?

I bought mine from Pro-Gram. www.pro-gram.com/I'll have to dig up the receipt -- don't recall the price. I originally bought a four-bolt front cap as well, but it doesn't look like I'll be able to use it.

I've heard ALOT of great things about Pro-Gram. I will be purchasing a set of these caps as well.

Those look really nice! I too am planing a stroker project, and if people successfully use aftermarket caps on blocks that were originally 2-bolt... I might just give it a try myself. Finding a corvette 4-bolt block has proven harder than i expected, and I have a few 2-bolt blocks sitting around so that'll probably be the cheaper/faster route to getting my new bottom end together.

I know. I almost wish I could swap the engine out of my Vette with engine in the Camaro.

I've talked to a few machine shops and got conflicting stories... but the people who had something negative to say about the aftermarket splayed caps didnt seem to know what they were talking about anyway... So fu(k it! Im almost positive im gonna try something like those pro-grams and see what happens.
