Well this friday I put my T-56 trans back in my Camaro and wanted to try it out but only track open was Milan about an hour and a half away, so I loaded up and hauled a$$ there for there test-tune/Wheel to Wheel street races. Ive never been there before so I get in the lanes and the tech guy says if I want to I can throw a dial-in on the window and run in the WtoWstreet race cuz my car has a muffler. I aggree to it and I put 11.40 on the window cuz I know I can run it just running thru 3rd and coasting the last 400 ft of track. (I run 10.50s normally) I get in the wrong lane and the guy pulling the cars said no problem I'll just match ya with the rest of the cars that dont fit in the first two lanes. Next thing I know heres a 80ish Mustang sitting next to me so I get out to look at his dial and he has none (remember that) so I get ready to go and they are going over this mustang like they just put it together, timing light and the works, I'm thinking what the hell this guy aint ready by now he aint gunna be ready. I start to pull into the water and one of his crew runs over and puts 11.50 on his window, so I say to my self that sand-bagging pile of crap is gunna try to run with me to the stripe and use the Nitrous to just edge me at the stripe. Well his tenth of a headstart turned to nothing when I pulled the wheels on my way to a pretty good pass but I knew I had to go 1,2,3 then neutral coast the rest of the track so I would be at the normal 11.50 or so when I miss 4th, done that enough. He hit every stage of nitrous he had and then blew past me to a 10.669 @ 126 to my 11.498 @ 100. WHUUUPS!!! He musta threw out too many sand bags to catch me. I got an "extra" pass out of the deal and he got to load up and go home early. The whole mustang group just glared at me when I drove past after my last "test" pass...10.68 @ 129.39
