Another kill

So me and a buddy went out for a cruise this last saturday night. My buddy was driving his '98 Formula, while I was in my TA.
We ran into this guy with a late 80's early 90's mustang. I heard a slight wistle at cruise when his front bumper was even with my door
So at a light, I ask him about his car. He says "I just put it together and its not tuned, but its a 331 with AFR heads and a S-trim... " He also said something about an E-cam
Anyway, he says he cant get on it because its not tuned. But as the light turned red he jumps on it hard!
I put about 3/4 throttle to it in first for tractions sake, grabbed 2nd and laid the pedal down. This resulted in quite a bit of wheelspin. I grabbed third and the tires started spinning again right as I was passing him ;D
By the top of 3rd I had plenty distance on him and let off. At the next redlight we caught, my buddy raced him in his bolt-on only Formula... They both spun through 1st and part of 2nd, they both let off with my buddy's bird about 1/2-3/4 car length in front ;D
So I get up to the mustang and say, "So what happened to not getting on it?", to which he replied I couldnt help it... I asked if would like to go from a roll to eliminate traction problems and he quietly said no and just kept driving... I guess he got tired of those big mean birds picking on him ;D

Yeah, it was a good time!
Last night we went to the track last minute to try and squeeze a run or two in before closing time. I've had this standing "competition" going with a local Cobra owner for a long time. We're always trying to be faster than one another so when we race, its a big deal. We lined up last night, it was only his second time down the track in his car since his new motor was put in, and my first time since installing my suspension. The last time we raced, he blew his "built" motor after over reving a few times in an attempt to keep up. That time was on a backroad and we went well past a 1/4mi.
So we lined em up, he launched at 7000rpm on slicks, I launched at 4500rpm on drag radials. He pulled the wheels for about 4 feet, I bogged, but still won. He would have stomped the $hit out of me if we had gotten in a full run.. I only pulled a 2.09 60' which killed me, but he didnt even make it throught the 60' mark. He twisted his rear end housing and snapped the driveshaft at the rear u-joint... So I had to rub it in that I literally "took him out of comission" AGAIN!!! Even though I definitely would have lost this one for the first time since we've been grudge matching.
He now says the grudge matches are over, cause I jinx him into breaking every time. I told him that the only reason he breaks while racing me is that my TA is just too intimidating and he trys to hard!
