Ok, this question got alot of people talking over at lt1tech, so Ill ask it here since I requested that we get a Hybrids section. Well, on to the question:
WHO HAS OR WANT TO BUILD A HYBRID VEHICLE???
Me first.
1996 GMC Sierra Shortwide LT1-4L60E 14.9@92 is my best time in it to date.
I would love to have a 67 Camaro or an older chevelle with an LT1, but that would have to come after school. I also thought it would be awesome to have an LT1 in a fox-body mustang. That would be a fun car.

Before I had an LT1 in my '68 Camaro, I had a supercharged LT1 in an '88 Mitsubishi Starion. I had the T-56 in it also. It had custom made everthing! (drive shaft, motor mounts, engine crossmember, tranny crossmember, full frame, etc.)
Unfortunately, I never got a chance to drive it. We hadn't finished the exhaust, and I was worried about driving it around open header.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the car didn't have a firewall either! ;D

That 280z looks like it would really rock!
I wouldn't mind having an LS1 for my S10, but they cost too much at this point in time.

It was really fun putting together and even more fun to drive ;D. I'd love to get another one some day. Except the next time I do, It'll have an LS1 ;D. You're right though, they do cost too much these days. Maybe in a few years.

Im working on a thirdgen ls1 t56 swap right now. The car is completely stripped and gutted ready for media blasting. I have most of my parts but it will be a while before I make any real progress on it.

I just bought a 67' rs/ss and I have plans for a carburated LT1. I wanted an LS1 but its kinda expensive(if I can find one cheap and rebuild it, that would be cool). I would like a m6 too but out a 89-96 vette for my set up right now.
