Say I pull up to a hotrod and he wants to run with me, what would be my best launching rpm from a red light? Fortunatly i haven't had a problem so far but what is the "ideal" rpm for my gears etc.
Don't want too much smoke and screeching (although it's aweosme) need a fast launch to put some guys in their places!

depends on your tires really with that setup you have, sounds nice. On whatever brand (drags) you can launch higher like around 2500 rpm, on full drags, ETS, etc more like 4k, good street tires like BFG KDs out back around 2k...it's a feel you get used to really. You wanna lunge with little tire spin while digging in good.

Yeah. Yesterday I was practicing launches in the dead residential area (midnight) I'm sure the neighbors didn't like hearing it but thats what i came to, jsut around 2 or else the tires will spin too much.
