Blew a head gasket over the Thanksgiving holiday. The heads are o-ringed and it turns out that the #7 o-ring and gasket fire ring did not mate up properly in one place allowing some blow-by. Over time it eventually deformed the gasket enough to allow it to blow out at that point. No signs of detonation; plugs, valves, pistons, chambers all look perfect. Heads were examined and are true. Going back together with GM graphite gaskets. Will also be installing custom fit QTP 3" dual cutout y-pipe and dual QTP electic valves. This should alleviate the back pressure issue I am up against at this time. Once new exhaust is ceramic coated and in place will retune for street and get an additional tune for open cutouts, 109 octane unleaded gas, and maybe a couple degrees more timing. Looking for 700 rwhp. We shall see. Should be ready in time for AutoRama Feb 10-12.

Sounds good, glad to hear that you didnt pop the gasket because of a lean condition. I dont think you'll have a problem getting that 700hp mark, your so close now. Keep us posted!
