i have had this problem for some time now, daily driving the tranny wont shift until 3000 rpm in every gear, if i leave it in drive and get on it it shifts out of every gear at 3800 rpm. if im on the highway and get on it, it wont downshift just picks up from final gear. wtf is wrong with this stupid thing??? theres no trouble codes.

Have you ever had anyone mess with the tune? That really sounds like a tuning issue, but it could also be several other things... If its something internal trans, someone else is gonna need to chime in here. I used to keep alot of general 4L60E knowledge at hand, but I hate them and will never mess with one again for as long as I live! So Ive purposely forgotten about all the stuff I used to deal with  By the way, I have a 4L60e with EVERY internal mod possible sitting on the floor of my garage. I gave up on it when I burnt the clutches for the 4th time. Other people seem to have alot of luck with them, just not me. I just dont think the clutches can handle a blower motor for long without fluid changes every weekend. Anyway, its for sale. Needs a freshen up due to the clutch packs, but Im willing to sell cheap if ur interested. |
