Hey guys I'd appreciate any advice you can give. I bought an LS1 hotcam a month ago. The reason I bought this cam is because I wanted to keep my MPG as close to what I get know but improve the performance of my daily driver. I called Patriot Performance and they said this is a relative small cam. I was wondering if my stock cam is a 198/207 and I'm going to a 219/228 wouldn't the gain be pretty noticable? Anyways they said they had a set of heads that would work with this cam for $900. The 243 LS6 casting heads. These heads come with all LS6 components ported and polished and I think it sounds good. I'm also upgrading to an LS6 intake, LS6 oil pump, LS6 timing chain, maybe a miezre water pump. What numbers do you think the cam itself puts down at the R.W.? And what will I put down in the end? Of course it will get dyno tuned. Thanks Daniel

Maybe 385 RWHP. Do yourself a favor and get the LS2 timing chain, it's much better than the LS6 (LS1) timing chain.

yeah 385 sounds about in the ballpark. depinding on exhaust, etc. i had the 2nd MTI hammer cam in my daily driver and it didnt hurt the MPG that bad i stil drove like a bat outta hell somedays and could still get 25 mpg on road trips hauling ass. and i had stge 2 heads with the cam by that time. these LSX engines are amazing.
