Ballpark, what's the biggest shot that can be run on pump gas? This is with a built engine, with all the appropriate items: Forged pistons, H-beam rods, forged steel crank, stainless steel valves. How much can typically be run on a small block before detonation becomes uncontrollable?

N2O is not octane limited... you can throw a 400+ shot on it if you are set up for it... the main thing is insureing your shot comes on either progressively OR it starts higher in the rpm band, AND insureing that your timing retards enough for the size shot you are running. if you have a N20 controler like NOS mastermind, it will both progressively bring your shot to full, AND retard the timing correctly as the shot comes on... how much can you run? the real question is how much are you willing to spend

You know, there was a time not too long ago when I would have disagreed with that statement but with guys running so much spray at the pump gas drags on 93 octane, I'm not sure anymore. I think it can be controlled to fairly high level but you will be living on the edge.

With the correct timing and air/fuel and CR......you can almost spray more than a 250 shot.
