How much NOS can be used on a stock LT1 and still be safe? Is a 150 safe?

"Safe" is a relative term. A 50 shot can be disatrous if the tune is way off. Make sure the ignition is strong, you have the correct plugs, are pulling some timing (the rule is 2 degrees per 50 hp of nitrous), the motor is sound as in not having excessive leakdown etc., the fuel pump is up to the task and you will be alright. I wouldn't have a problem running 150 on a stock motor with the above attention to detail. Some guys go over 200 with good results. It's a good idea to tune it with a wideband if you can. Every motor is different but an A/F in the very low 11's is a safe bet.
