Change the fluid in the S10 earlier today. Started running through all the gears after I got all the fluid in and noticed that it doesn't want to pull while shifted into 2nd on the dash from a dead stop. Strange, pulls hard in all foward gears except when manually shifted into 2nd from a dead stop. I have no problems with the tranny shifting around 2nd going down the road even when I hammer on the gas or take off from a dead stop as long as it is not manually shifted into 2nd. Any ideas??

Do you think it has anything to do with that B&M shift programmer you installed on it?

It has been an issue since I bought it. It drives fine, I would like to know why it doesn't pull from a stop when its shifted manually into second.

because it is an AUTO not a MANUAL i had a T-bird that did that too and so i just stopped shifting it manually and as far as i know it still is running. the B&M shift programer is not a shift kit, correct? if it isnt i would take it off and see what happens for a little bit

Only does when starting out with the gear selector in 2nd. Doesn't do it with 1st,3rd,and 4th.

im not positive but it might be actually starting off in 2nd gear, i know 3rd will start off in 1st and go through the gears. they might be that way from the factory as a safty thing like icy weather. not sure.

Good idea, if I can find it..... The more I think about it, I really doubt anything is really wrong with the tranny.
