I was driving home yesterday and my car started grinding and chattering. I have a 2000 Z-28 w/ 6 speed and it still has the original clutch. I was already having clutch issues as far as it throwing out of gear or not letting it engage into a or any gear. Please give me any ideas as far as what you might think. Email dguerra@smhcems.com

yeah i would guess clutch. how many miles you got on it?

Got clutch done. Zo6 clutch, pressure plate, fly wheel, 01-02 master cylinder and new slave. The shop did not know about the drill mod. I took it there instead of another place I want to work on my car because this was a tranny shop. Oh and my input shaft is pretty bad. How long do you all think it can go before having tranny work done? I'm afraid to get on it. Should I be?

i never noticed you had replyed, sorry. you say the input shaft is pretty bad, is it chewed up or what? pics would help
