Everyone post your opinion of the STS turbo. Personally I would never run the kit because i am happy with the procharger. I dont like the turbo lag due to the large volume of piping to fill from the rear to the front of the car. Also ever notice the moisture coming from the exhaust tips? I think that this residule moisture would cause rust inside the turbo housing. What if a piece of the catalytic converter comes apart? Bye Bye turbo! I have seen that the kit makes good power, and even more with the methanol injection. Any other opinions?

i looked into both kits, and people say centrifugal superchargers take forever to make peak boost and bla bla bla. My car begins boosting at 2500 and throws you into the seat untill redline. Holy lordy does the d1sc kick a$$. I want to race a hp equivalent car from a low rpm roll and see who wins

STS kits are good for their target market which is:
An entry level enthusiast who doesn't want to take the time to install a traditional mount kit or doesn't want the hassle of a front mount setup.
The GTO's are the only STS cars I have seen that actually perform to near the HP they are making.
Do a search on some of the other fbody forums and you'll find more information, opinions and bickering than you'd ever want to read.
Me, I'd rather (and am) buy a traditional mount setup (PTK) for nearly the same price and run times that coincide with the numbers I'm putting down.

I saw a writeup about the STS's owners TA in GMhightech... I wasnt impressed at all. For the level of his motor build-up and the amount of boost, he should have been able to get much more power and alot faster in the 1320. I understand that he's at a high elevation, but d@mn his car is slow for what he has done.
