I have one BBC with a tall deck block. Using a tall deck block is pretty easy these days. There are lots of parts and good intake manifolds for tall deck BBCs. It can be a bolt together deal now.

yeah, the engines that were considered "exotic" just a few years ago, are now much easier to find parts for, and they usually arent super expensive either.
