Thanks for the good eye, but I have not finished putting it all back together. That is why the endlinks are not attached. Just wanted to take pics of what had been done. Mike

Looks great, SilverRam! I'm running BMR components as well -- but I haven't upgraded the whole sha-bang like you have. I love BMR though -- I think their components are very good quality for the price...

Yes, the car is lowered. It is sitting at a 3" drop right now, but I have the ability to put the car at any height I want with the HAL/coilovers front and rear HAL coilovers. I'm probably gonna raise the car up to a 1" drop or stock height to go after my low 12 second pass.

with those lower control arm brakets you might not wanna go to stock height. you want the LCAs to be pretty horizontal.

Looks good! Actually Im drooling I just ordered BMR's boxed SFC's and adjustable LCA's for my car... After that will be the panhard rod and trak pak torque arm... I hate having to buy things piece by piece, but if I dont spend the money when I have it, I'll end up spending it on other things instead of saving to buy more.

I collected suspension and go fast parts for over 3 years and didn't do anything with any of it until this spring when it all went on. Car stayed totally stock except for K&N, shifter handle, and tires/wheels. Fortunately, suspension components are one thing you can do a little at a time. You will be amazed at the difference it makes, especially the SFCs. If you plan to lower it, don't forget to get the LCA relocation brackets, they are a must for a lowered car.

AAron 67, thanks for the info. Just so you know that is why the Weld-on relocation brackets have a couple different places to adjust the LCA when you change the height of the car. I actually will probably take the car up to 1/2 " drop from stock reset the LCA position and reset my pinion angle. Fire 67, Thanks for the props. Just remember it will all be worth it when your car has all the suspension stuff As far as the coilover rear setup it is the HAL 12 way adjustable just like the front with a 150 lb linear rate HAL silver spring. The pic I have posted does not show the rear coilover setup, but I will have pics shortly of that install PM me for details on the coilovers for the rear. 1bad2k2ta, I can relate to having stuff sitting in new boxes for years. This car has so much stuff that still needs to be installed it is ridiculous. I have one small room that has piles of stuff that needs to be finished. Your motor looks absoulutely DOPE !

this is what i LOVE to see... set up your suspention like a 9 second car so you dont have to worry about it ever...
as for the LCA's location. why do you want them more horizontal? i have always thought just the oposite, i want mine in as steep an incline as i can get them so that they push DOWN on the rear at launch.
I am all about learnin some new stuff, so if you can gimme your reason i might just have to adjust my setup...

I have one small room that has piles of stuff that needs to be finished. Your motor looks absoulutely DOPE ! Thanks, I am glad you like it. The bottom of my car looks almost as good as yours, too. Mine is all black except for the springs which are red like yours. I was going to do it red, too, but I got most of the parts used and they were black, so when I did buy new stuff, I went ahead and got black to match. I will try and get some pics. The car has only been in the rain twice and when the motor and stuff was going in, I spent a good bit of time and Simple Green cleaning it up. I haven't done any brake work yet. What did the Wilwoods set you back? If you don't mind me asking. Thanks

1bad2k2ta, The Wilwoods for the rear were $875 with the parking brake mechanism. This is the 4 piston, 2 piece setup. If your going to do the Wilwoods I definitely have most of the answers for the pitfalls that will come up when doing this install. I went through 3 sets of rears before I got the right combination using a MOSER 12 bolt big tube with the C-clip eliminator. It was painful, but I learned alot about doing big brake setups. I also have the 6 piston Wilwood front setup with all the BMR & HAL stuff on the front suspension. That is awesome that your car has only seen rain twice. Since I have owned my WS6 It has never seen rain or snow and I hope it never has to see either

Well I was talked into cancelling my order with BMR for a week or two... Basically cause the lady in my life agreed to let me buy BMR's drag package to save $125 on the trak pak torque arm.. So, in a week or so I'll be ordering the drag package which includes: Boxed LCA's, Trak Pak torque arm w/crossmember, tubular LCA's... I'll be upgrading the LCA's to be adjustable. 96SilverRam - PM is on the way (as soon as I type it )

Ok, so I found the company that makes the rear coil-over conversion kit for our beloved f-bods. AutoFab Race Cars made the kit that was featured in GMhightech on their Trans Am project. Here's their website: [ftp]www.autofabracecars.com[/ftp] It's pretty much a useless site other than to get their contact info.

FYI, Spohn Fabrication also makes the rear coil-overs, these ones include a reinforcement plate for the top shock mount ( mounting the springs there increases stress) www.spohn.net
