I have stock gears with a hotcam, motor has been bored 30 over, going with long tube headers and having the tranny rebuilt with shift kit, bigger band and upgraded clutch packs. Which size stall should I go with?

I would go with a 3200-3400 10" conv. just get a good brand like Yank,Pro-Torq,Precision. You'll spend between $450-$850 but it'll be worth it. Those $195 12"-13" converters are very ineffecient, meaning the car doesn't move till almost the rated stall speed! and generally suck around town. With a high quality converter the car will actually move below rated stall because they multiply engine torq. properly at low engine rpm's. So start with a good converter and you'l be amazed at the difference in your car.

I agree with LT1PWRD. Spend the extra $ for somethin that will last. Also, do a search for a company called Midwest. I've heard a lot of good things about them and they only cost around $400-450.
Also, if you have OBDI, you may have a problem while shifting, but this can be fixed by contacting pcmforless and getting a tune for the stall. This OBDI stall problem sometimes happens with anything over a 2800-3200 stall.
