Hey guys I am wondering if anyone has been able to get a C/950 ECM to work with a Delteq setup on a LT1? It is not compatable with the LT's Optispark, but the Delteq should take care of that right? I know you can use the MSD DIS+4 system on it so it should be compatable right? I asked Doug Flynn from Holley on another board but he never got back to me.
I would love to be able to get it working as i have experience tuning the C/950 and it's very flexible and great to tune on. Thanks, Brian

I dont see why it would not work. Should have the same signal wire. I think it would be fine.

I'm a little late here, but at any rate, I think this might prove difficult. I know nothing of the ECM you're referring to, but I know a little bit about how the Delteq is set up.
The Delteq unit still runs off of the Optispark's optical signal (as you probably already know). They have what's called an 'Opti-box' controller, which has four electrical connector ports. One port is used to intercept the optispark's signal/power wires, one port is used to intercept the factory PCM's electrical harness to the ignition coil/module, and the other two are outputs to the Northstar ignition control module -- upon which the four dual-terminal coils sit.
As such, at very least, you're still going to need the factory optispark running for its optical signal, and you're still going to need an ignition control signal wire from the PCM. The optispark ordinarily gets its power from the PCM, so you'd have to rig that up separately (-just a +12vdc wire, I believe). I'm not sure how you'd duplicate the factory PCM's ignition control feed. Whether or not that's possible with this new ECM you're wanting to use, in the way you are wanting to use it, I don't know.
At any rate, I don't know what I'm talking about, so I'd recommend that you talk with Pete Visser @ Delteq. He's a great guy to deal with, and I'm sure he could clarify what is needed -- if this is at all possible.

Im going to chime in with one more thing that might prove difficult: According to Holleys Website, that Commander 950 ECM requires converting to a crank trigger style ignition or a sync distributor to work on the LT1. In other words, its not compatible with the opti in any way. So therefore the delteq would also not be compatible without some sort of custom circuitry to convert the signal from the c950 ecms ignition control to something the delteq could understand. It would probably be easier/cheaper to do a crank trigger ignition setup with a distributor or some other more compatible coil-on-plug setup. Im thinking MSD's cam sync plug, COP controller, and COP coils. With BigStuff3, you could use a GM cam sync plug (fits in place of std dist.) BigStuffs crank trigger, and LS1 coils.
