Im just about to be putting the new motor in, and when its in I'll be loading the base tune into the pcm for the first startup. The guy who made up this base tune, was supposed to disable the Crankshaft position sensor for me.... But I dont think he did. Could someone point me in the right direction on the LT1edit software to see where and if he actually disabled it. I know he forgot to turn off all the rest of my emissions stuff, and I took care of those so there shouldnt be a SES light. I just cant find anything on the software that has anything to do with the crankshaft position sensor. I know it can be done, so if someone could please help me, it'd be much appreciated. Im pretty much an LT1edit virgin

I believe all I have is a .LT1 file... Ill check on that though. I think I remember hearing something about software that will convert one file type to another though.

cool, will do this weekend. The files saved on my laptop, which is at home... So I'll get a copy on this pc to email it out. Thanks again Tony! Port Pros did an excellent job building that motor... Definitely glad I went with Harold for this, he's 100% about pleasing his customers.. He made me happy, and thats not exactly an easy task.

Ive been passing his name out quite a bit... I think it will help alot when I finally get my beast going and some dyno/track numbers. Got the motor in the car this weekend, will be finishing everything up this week and hopefully beginning the break-in by mid week. Oh yeah, I forgot to bring my laptop into the office this morning, so I'll have to email that file to you tomorrow.

Tony, almost forgot about this thread.. When I was messing with the PC this weekend, and trying to get it to com. with the pcm in my car, I found out how to turn it off. Two codes, in two places; simple toggle to 'OFF'. Thanks anyway

Yep! Fired her up last night. Ive only got about 60 miles on it so far (drove it for two hours last night ;D ) but I can tell you this thing is a beast! The idle sounds wicked, and even though I havent given it more than 1/4 throttle, its definitely making gobs more torque. The motor runs smooth, doesnt smoke or anything like that, and I JUST CANT WAIT TO GET ON IT! I do have to re-adjust the rockers on the drivers side, seems they are a little noisy compared to the ones Harolds guy did on the pass. side. But no big deal, I can handle that within an hour this weekend. I would like to wait untill my valve covers arrive so Im not pulling everything apart twice more So for now, Im thrilled to be able to drive my car, even if I do have to short shift at 4500 for 1400 miles or so. I'll have the initial 100mi done this afternoon when I get back from the alignment shop so I'll change the oil and go drive around till im too tired to push in the clutch anymore!

Will do! I was gonna wait for my new valve cover to show up before re-adjusting the rockers... But the slight noise im hearing is getting to me, so I'll be adjusting them tonight. BTW, I now have 175 miles on the motor, and Harold said I could go to 4500rpms after at least 100mi. Well I went to 4500 rpms at a little over half throttle in 3rd today, the boost got up to 4psi by 4K when the tires started trying to spin and the TCS kicked in to surprise me!
