im gonna be putting in the comp 224/230 or 236/230 on my stock heads.
for now im just doing the upper valvetrain. what springs should i use for the 1.6 rockers that will also work for my cam? comps website suggest 986-16 for the both cams.

I can't see any reason why you shouldn't trust the cam manufacturers recommendation. If Comp says go with the 986's, they should work fine.
I'm not familiar with the 986's. You may have to have the spring seasts machined to accept them.

this is why i asked. because comp says you have to machine the heads. other people on the board say they did not.
how are the 918s
