The rumor mill has the Buick Grand National GNX being added to the Buick line up in 2009. Reports vary as to what engine will be (should be) in the this tribute to the beast that still terrorizes the streets and strips of North America. At first it was rumored that the new GNX would get a DOHC TT V6 rated at 450 HP Now some are saying it will most likely get an LS2. Regardless of what the General decides, what engine would you prefer to see in the new GNX?

Regardless of what the General decides, what engine would you prefer to see in the new GNX? I would have to go with and LSX based motor. Way better low end and more bang for the buck invested. Plus there needs to be more V8 performance vehicle options than a Mustang, Charger, Viper (I know, it's a V10), Corvette, GTO, and SSR.

Normally I say go V8 but this is one car I would not suggest going that route. There is already an LS2 based GTO, Corvette and in all liklihood, a new Camaro in 2009. I say go with a turboed V6!
