I haven't started using my CSR pump yet, so I don't have any actuall experience with them, but I've heard that they typically last for about 2 years.

I have the Meziere on my car... First off there is an "early warning weep hole" top and bottom... Ther're supposed to last quite a while, but as with any aftermarket part theirs always that one or two that fail early... I had a seal go bad in mine about 9months after I installed it... The Meziere tech said that with my car sitting for extended periods of time (about 3 weeks at a time, every time ive broken something on the car) it caused the seal leak... They had no problem with replacing the seals and getting it right back to me... Within a week!

I have my CSI wired like the following: www.mindspring.com/~amattei/mezinst2.jpgWhich gives me a bad ground indicator and a separate LED if the pump fails. The electrical pump will in no way live as long as a stock mechanical but if and when you go to a double roller, you need to make the switch. I bought mine used and have had it on for over a year with no problems. I am going to start carrying a new pump with a few tools in the back though so if it does go out, I can swap it out on the roadside if need be.

I have used a meizere for about 4 years now with no problems. I highly recommend it! My car actually stays cooler than with the stock pump.

because of the higher flow rate it actually makes a difference.
