I have heard mixed things about the Eagle cranks. What is it that seems to be the big hang up about using them?

i personally don't know,i heard that they are so mass produced that they tend to break, those kits on ebay are just the crank,h bars, piston heads, and bearings for around $1400,i think it would be cheaper to buy the stuff seperately on thunder racing.

I always thought it would be cheaper to buy it as a kit. I'll have to check into that though.

Eagle 4340 cranks have a decent rep, I think the people that break them dont understand the importance of having a good machine shop balance the rotating assembly, and then spraying the crap out of em... My buddy's building a turbo LT1 with Eagle crank & rods in a two bolt block... Im probably gonna be using a Lunati or Callies crank because of the strokes and configurations available.

Thanks Lawrence! That first kit has got an odd stroke. 3.835. All 39X LT1 stroker kits I know of have 3.875 in strokes. The dynoflow kit looks just like what I want. Much appreciated!
