jdawg, no one wants your head to explode. So to answer your question, your car does have aluminum heads. The cast iron heads were only equiped on LT1's in the full size cars.

The hot cam for the lt1, lt4 is good for only 20 horses. That sucks that means that I spend over $500 for a hot cam kit to only gain 20 hp.

Allot of people are reporting as much as 340 rwhp with bolt ons and a good tune with that kit. IMO it's a good budget cam/rr's setup (although I would recommend upgrading the springs). I believe the 20 HP gain that the article stated was on a stock LT4 motor from the factory. The exhaust and intake on these cars are very restrictive. Just my .02

The kit comes w/ the roller rocker 1:6 upgraded springs. And the whole 9 yards. All I need is a good tune. I got a Jet chip performance on my car. If I get a tune can I still use that chip?

The springs are marginal for their use. You'll gain more with supporting Bolt-ons, ex: Full exhaust, TB, Ignition system, Cold Air intake The Jet chips just intercept and mod the information the PCM sees/sends to improve performance on mildly modified cars. Once you dig into a cam and heads, Jets definition of "mildly modified" no longer applies to your car. Get a REAL tune for your car and sell the Jet chip if you can. By REAL i mean; Have a professional using LT1edit, or TunerCats, or chip burning software (Depending on year), tune your PCM using real world data gathered on a chassis dyno with a wideband A/F monitor.

I got a tune in my car from madz28 and it really works. After installing the new computer that was upgraded especificly for my car, the car is running alot smoother. :DThe SES is still on so I guess I'll not pass emmissions.
