but if you have an older carburator the old calculations still work

I hear you Metalbeast. I seen it but relied on Engine Analyzer to determine what CFM carb I needed for the stang build. Some old timers insist on big carbs, when actually you can't get better performance out of a smaller unit.

my dad wnt real small. he is putting a 600-650 Carter AFB on a 460 that is going to have a new intake and cam in it. im like can i get 750

600 may be too small for the 460. This is one of those cases were a bigger carb may be needed to move enough air for the big cubes.
