I recently purchased pretty much the whole BMR catalogue only to hear from a road racing site that the BMR K frame isn't strong enough to handle road racing. Have any of you guys heard of someone breaking one of these pieces at the track? or the street for that matter?

Street no, track yes. I would not trust the BMR piece to hold up under the stress of road racing or autocross. The one in question broke the lower control arm mount away from the k-member. Luckily the damage was limited to the k-member, control arm, and wheel well/fender. It could have been much worse if it had happened at higher speed. I know of no tubular k-member that I would use for road racing. LG Motorsports has/had been working on one but the project is not complete. Since LG IS road racing that is one I would trust.

I talked to BMR about this, since I want a tubular k-member for road racing. They said they havn't had much feedback in that area. They have one guy using one in the american iron series, but he hasn't put many hot laps on it yet.
PAracing offers one with a "road race" option. I don't know how it holds up, but I do know that pa has a BAD rep on thirdgen.org.
