Doh! I had it right in front of me and missed it. Here is a quote from the article I was checking: "He had several jobs before turning to music, including testing car horns in the Lucas car factory and on the kill floor of an abattoir. " WTF is an abattoir? I think thats the slaughter house he worked in Yeah, that makes sense now. I was concerned you were gonna logoff and leave me hanging. I would have had hell getting to sleep. ;D Well, 4:30 comes early, so I'm outta here. Later

Problem is the radio plays the same 2 songs that I get tired of hearing them. Probably due to lyrics and song length. Most of there songs are really long, maybe too long. Jason at work went to see them a couple years ago and said they were the best he has seen in concert other than Rob Zombie.

Anyone like Carcass, Samael, or Dimmu Borgir? Not really, you're into deathmetal? I used to be. I still like to listen to that stuff every now and then. I've just mellowed out. After I quit playing guitar (tendinitis in both hands, and carpal tunnel in the left) and cut my hair off, I got soft. I went from Carcass to Cold Play. Does it get any more drastic than that?!

I must be too old, like some metallica but except for 3 doors down, don't like most of the new stuff, absolutely hate Nirvana and everything they stand/stood for, I'm still on the stuff that got me thru high school, too many good times. AC/DC.....to Eagles.......Van Halen.....you get the idea.
Have a new question, would people here post what songs/bands you liked at some point but would not normally/today admit to it?

Anyone ever listen to Ronnie James Dio? I know alot of people don't like him because he had a stint in Black Sabbath after Ozzy, but I think some of his stuff rocks. Holy Diver, Last In Line, and Computer God (off the Black Sabbath Dehumanized album from 1992).

The bands you mentioned are some of my favorites and I listen to them regularly on 3 stations here in San Antonio. I have tried listening to some of the newer music, but I just can't get into it. Mostly, it gets on my nerves in about 30 seconds. ;D Not knocking it, it's just not for me. I'm old enough to be some of you guys' dad and I am sure your parents can't relate to the newer music any better than our parents could relate to the music we listen to. I guess it is a generational thing.
